Super Metroid

Back in the day, people were very excited about a particular Super Nintendo game. This Nintendo game I am referring to is none other than the Super Metroid game.
Originally created for Super Nintendo and recreated in the new Nintendo Wii, Super Metroid is arguably one of the best games of all time.
In fact, a lot of game developers took notes from the original Super Metroid game and added some of its elements to newer games such as Konami’s Castlevania: Symphony of the night.
Super Metroid is a 2D, side-scrolling shooter game where players take control of Samus Aran, a bounty hunter with innate special abilities. From her previous mission, she was able to get a Metroid Larva from space.
This Metroid Larva was taken to a space colony which the scientists believed they can harness its power. The Metroid Larva grew a liking for Samus and it eventually will play a part later.
Samus Aran left the space research center when suddenly, she received a distress call from that research center asking for help. The research facility was raided by Ridley after knowing about the Metroid Larva.
Ridley stole the larva and went to his home planet Zebes. Then, Samus went after Ridley to recover the Larva because who knows what power it possesses.
The planet Zebes is the home planet of Ridley and that is where his base lies. Samus must fight hordes of Space pirates in order to reach the Metroid Larva. Apparently, all of the units in Zebes is controlled by a mother Brain.
Samus went to where the Mother Brain is but was then confronted with the now enormous Metroid Larva. The Larva when and sucked the energy out of Samus but then quickly realized that it was the same Samus that it grew liking to.
After the event, the Larva flew away and Samus then continued her pursuit against the mother brain. After an intense battle, Samus was nearly defeated when the Metroid Larva jumped in and sapped the energy out of the Mother Brain.
The Mother brain then retaliated killing the Metroid Larva in the process. But in its dying moments, the Larva was able to give Samus enough energy to create a powerful weapon.
Samus used that energy to fire the all-powerful Hyper Beam to destroy the Mother Brain for good.
Super Metroid is an amazing Super Nintendo game. It has a lot of gameplay elements that many game developers have copied. For example, Samus can fire to all eight directions; she can get certain power-ups to boost her abilities, and so much more.
There are also various weapons and abilities that Samus possesses. For example, Samus can use the Morph Ball to turn her into a ball so that she can get out of tight spaces. She also has a Moon Walk ability, giving her the power to shoot while stepping backwards, one step at a time.
Super Metroid is an amazing game for the Super Nintendo and if you can get your hands on it, definitely play the game. You will not be disappointed!
