The Florida-based company, Blu, have released some pretty interesting mobile phone through the years.
Are you using your phone on anything besides simply surfing the internet? If so, you may constantly find yourself reaching for the charging because your mobile phone’s battery can’t just keep up.
Well, Blu has created a mobile phone that has a whopping battery inside of it. The Blu phone I am referring to is the Blu Studio Energy 2.
Before I talk about the battery, let’s talk more about the phone’s other features. The design of the Blu Studio Energy 2 is pretty okay. It is not eye-catching whatsoever; it’s basically plain for me.
It’s got an aluminum chassis with a polycarbonate frame at the sides. It’s got power buttons and volume rocker controls at the right side. There are capacitative touch buttons on the bottom part of the screen (which is used for the home button, menu button, and the back button). At the top lies the usual 3.5mm headphone jack. On the left side lies the microSIM and microSD card slots and at the bottom is where the microUSB slot is situated.
The Blu Studio Energy 2 also comes with the Android 5.1 lollipop. It is interesting to see budget-friendly phones coming with Android Lollipop by default as it is much snappier than the Android Kitkat and it has a much cleaner interface.
Under the hood, you’ll find the MediaTek MT 6735 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz and 1.5GB of RAM. It is interesting that it only came with 1.5GB of RAM because usually mobile phone manufacturers build their new phones with at least 2GB. Still, with a budget-friendly phone, there are bound to be some cuts here and there, and I think this is the aspect where it fell short.
The display of the Blu Studio Energy 2 leaves much to be desired. It only comes with a 5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280x720p and a pixel count of only 294ppi. Since it sports almost the same display technology used in most Samsung Mobile phones, it does have an impressive display (considering the resolution).
As for the cameras, the Blu Studio Energy 2 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. They don’t have any great technologies slapped in, but the rear camera does take some vivid shots. It does have some slight problems with the contrast, though, as blacks aren’t really blacks in some environments. Still, it does the job well for a camera without technologies found in other mobile phones.
Now we’ve come to the highlight of the phone, the battery. I kid you not; this mobile phone comes with a whopping 5,000 MaH battery! That is more than enough to last you for 2 days with moderate use! It is really impressive as Blu is the only company (at least, at this time of writing) that has employed more than 3,500 MaH batteries on their mobile phones.
If you’re looking to consume a lot of media using a mobile phone, then the Blu Studio Energy 2 is a very interesting choice.
